Asking for the current structure
Harmony Junior School does not print a fees tariff on this website. Figures change by term, by class, and by what a family has agreed with the office, and a number left on a public page becomes wrong the day the board approves the next budget. The school’s instruction is direct: for the current school fees structure, email [email protected] or call 077 690 8490.
You may also write to [email protected]. Say the child’s name, the class or the age group you are asking about, and whether you need tuition only or tuition with transport. Transport is a school service with its own page; it is not automatically the same invoice as tuition. The office will tell you what applies.
If you are still deciding whether to enrol, read the admissions page and download the application form before you ask for a place to be held. Fees questions and admission questions can go in the same email. The administration building is where both are handled.
When money is due
The school’s financing policy says that programmes are financed by fees and levies from parents, and by donations from well-wishers and stakeholders. Fees and levies are paid before the commencement of each term. That is the rule families should plan around: the term does not open on credit. Disbursement of the money inside the school is determined by an annual budget approved by the Executive Board.
Paying before the term is also how the kitchen, the buses, and the classrooms are already funded on the morning the gates open at 7:00. A family that needs to discuss a date should do it with the office before the term begins, not on the first bell of the new term.
Payment option A — the cashier
Cash or swipe at the Harmony cashier’s office. The office is in the administration building at the school, 31949, Mabvazuva, Ruwa, Harare. Come while the school day is open: gates at 7:00, last bell at 3:30. Bring the child’s name and class so the payment is recorded against the right account.
Ask for a receipt before you leave the counter. A receipt is the family’s record if a question arises later in the term. The cashier’s desk is the right place for cash. Please do not hand cash to a teacher at the classroom door or to a driver on the bus.
Payment option B — bank transfer
You may pay by bank transfer. After the transfer, submit or email the proof of payment to [email protected]. The proof should show the amount, the date, the reference, and the name of the account that paid. Put the child’s name in the reference and again in the email, so the office can match the deposit to the learner.
A transfer that arrives without proof is money the office may not yet be able to see as yours. Send the proof the same day. If you paid from an account that is not in the parent’s name, say so in the email. Banking details for the transfer are given by the office with the fees structure; they are not published on this page, so that an old account number cannot sit on the website after the school has changed it.
What the fees are for
Fees and levies carry the school programmes. That includes the teaching day described on the academics pages, the lunch described on the meals page, and, where a family has taken it, the buses described on the transport page. Donations from well-wishers sit beside fees; they do not replace a family’s own invoice.
The school will not quote a second, informal price in a corridor. The structure you are sent by email or told on the phone by the office is the structure. If two messages disagree, write back to the same address and ask which document is current before you pay.
Writing to the office
Use a clear subject line: “Fees structure”, “Proof of payment”, or “Transport and fees”, with the child’s name. Include a phone number that is answered during the school day. The numbers and addresses the school publishes are:
- Email: [email protected]
- Email: [email protected]
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: 077 690 8490
- Address: 31949, Mabvazuva, Ruwa, Harare
The contact page gathers the same details in one place.
