The campus, kept in photographs

This gallery is the school’s own record of Harmony Junior School at 31949, Mabvazuva, Ruwa, Harare. The pictures are not stock. They show the turquoise classroom blocks and the brick hall, the administration entrance, the courtyard and the palm, the playground, the children in uniform, graduation, the choir, Africa Day, sport, and the minibus. A family that has not yet walked the grounds can look here before they look at the application form. A family that already belongs can look here and recognise the week.

The buildings come first, because they are what the school is made of. Turquoise walls, grey roofs, brick piers, and a paved courtyard are the setting for every page on this site: the 8:00 bell, the lunch, the choir, the Friday uniform. The administration block, with the glass doors and the welcome step, is where fees are paid, forms are handed in, and the office answers 077 690 8490. The playground and the open yard are where Tuesday and Thursday, the sports-attire days, have room to happen.

The people in the photographs are learners and staff of this school. The image disclaimer in the footer is serious. These pictures belong to Harmony Junior School. They are not available to copy for another brochure, another business, or a personal post that pretends the children are a public resource. If you need permission, write to [email protected], as the disclaimer says.

Use the row of pictures below as a tour, then the grid. Click a photograph in the grid to see it larger. For the story around a picture, open the page that owns it: academics for the day, news for the choir, Africa Day, and Pizza Day, transport for the minibus, and admissions if the tour has done its work and you want a place.
