Bus route

The published general morning route, from 6:30 in Damofalls and Zimre Park to Mabvazuva before the first bell.

General bus route

This is the general morning route published by Harmony Junior School. It is the order and the timing the school has put in writing. The buses are the school’s own minibuses, driven by experienced drivers, ferrying learners on behalf of parents. The transport page explains the service. This page is the timetable of stops.

6:30 — Damofalls and Zimre Park

The run starts at 6:30 in the morning at Damofalls and Zimre Park. These two are printed together, so families in either place should treat 6:30 as their time, not as a window that stretches toward Winsor Park. A child who is not at the agreed point at 6:30 makes the 6:40 stop late, and lateness travels down the whole list.

It is early. Bags should be packed the night before. The uniform for the day should be complete. Breakfast should be done or in hand. The minibus is not able to wait out a search for a house T-shirt on a Tuesday or a blazer on a Monday.

6:40 — Winsor Park

Ten minutes later the route is at Winsor Park. The gap between Damofalls and Winsor Park is short on the published table, which is another reason the first stop cannot run late. Winsor Park families should be outside and ready at 6:40, watching for the school minibus, with the child finished and the adult who is seeing them off already there.

7:00 — Ruwa Shopping Centre

At 7:00 the stop is Ruwa Shopping Centre. That is also the minute the school gates open in Mabvazuva, so from this point on the route the grounds are open even though the bus has two stops left. Ruwa Shopping Centre is a public place. Agree with your child exactly where they stand, and stand with them if they are young. The school bus is collecting learners; it is not supervising the whole shopping centre before it arrives.

7:10 to 7:20 — Mutangadura Area

Mutangadura is printed as a range, 7:10 to 7:20, not as a single minute. The area takes a short stretch of time rather than one doorway. Families here should be ready from the start of that range. If your pickup point inside Mutangadura has been agreed with the driver or the office, use that point every morning. A different corner each day is how children are missed.

7:30 to 7:50 — Mabvazuva Residence Complex

The last published stop is Mabvazuva Residence Complex, between 7:30 and 7:50. The school itself is in Mabvazuva. This stop is the local one, for children who live in the complex and ride the last part of the run, and it is the arrival window for everyone who has been on the bus since Damofalls. The first bell is at 8:00. The range ends at 7:50 so that there are minutes in hand before lessons, not so that the bus may drift past eight.

Children who live on the complex and do not use the bus still come through the gate, which has been open since 7:00. The bus stop and the gate are different. Do not send a walking child to wait on the bus line.

Using this table properly

The table is the general route. It is what the school has published for the morning. The afternoon run brings learners home; the school has not published a separate list of afternoon minutes, so the afternoon timing is confirmed with the office when your child is placed on the bus. Events and educational trips use the same minibuses and will have their own instructions on the day.

If a stop is missed, phone the school. Do not assume the minibus will come back. The number is 077 690 8490. Email [email protected] or [email protected] for a place on the route, a change of stop, or a week when your child will not ride. Say the child’s name, the class, and the stop.

The school is at 31949, Mabvazuva, Ruwa, Harare. Pride in Excellence includes a morning that begins on time.
